I tested via the startup folder and it starts wide open, and even as a shortcut with minimize set it would start minimized to taskbar, not tray. Check this box to have Teamviewer minimize to the notification area, after clicking the X (exit button). I of course want it to start silently to the tray, same as if it would by using the gui checkbox. Now I want only to start it minimized, maybe there is option or start. I solved this problem through Task Planner. My UAC always needed permission to start it, but I wanted it to start automatically, and not turn my UAC off. However I have no idea which locations it needs to be added, and what the values need to be. How do I do that Previously I had huge serious problem concerning actual start of TeamViewer when my PC is being started. This also works (for me, Windows 10, TeamViewer 13) while in a remote session. ![]() HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunĮtc. Now test it if you press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+A a console window should appear after 1-2 seconds and close immediately. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartupApproved\Run I'd prefer to have it in the Task manager as well. Teamviewer offers a checkbox within the client itself to mimic the same functionality (most have both, taskmanager entry seems to supersede whats set in the client best i can tell). ![]() However the tray icon/client.exe is only present if you have the item set to enabled in Taskmanager>startup. It is not referring to the connection slide out panel that appears on the bottom right of the remote side. Hi krb, This setting only refers to the Main Application Window on the remote side. I realize you can add it to the startup folder, but i'm trying to mirror the functionality that would exist if it were there by default (like most softwares - sigh).įor example, anydesk (same as TV) the service will always run regardless. it can be done, Host side panel will gt hide on auto.
